GC 2006 Heritage Trail Series Cache #2
This is the second of several caches I hope to plant along the
Heritage Trail this year. The Heritage Trail has been open for
years. The 26 miles trail runs between an area just north of the
City of Dubuque to the City of Dyersville on the bed of former
railroad tracks. The hard packed surface features no more than a 1%
grade increase in any area, making it great for scenic walking,
running, biking, or cross-country skiing for users of all ages.
This is an easy, flat walk until the last approx. 100' when it goes
vertical. Cache is an approx. 6” x 6” plastic container. There are
lots of places to park along the trail's 26 miles, but the closest
to the cache is in Durango at: 42* 33.585 090*46.458 Visit the
