42*/90* Caching Crew - Group Cache #1 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

IowaAdmin: I received this email about this cache from the park ranger:

Dear Administrator,
I recently went thru the Mines of Spain State Recreation Area and pulled the following caches. These caches did not receive permission to places caches. Please archive these caches.
All individuals had been emailed about two months ago in regards to seeking permission. I will be holding the caches until the end of July 2012 if any need to pick them up.
Thank you and please let me know when these are archived.

Wayne Buchholtz/Park Ranger

Note: I asked the ranger to post a "Needs archiving" note on each of the caches in question, but I don't see such log on them. But because this request comes from the IDNR manager, and because he has apparently removed the cache, I'm going to go ahead and archive this cache.

Geocache Description:

Caching Crew members contributing to this cache included: mmdals1, AllWyzLost, WickedLester, dougiefresh27, bearfood, mrs. Bearfood, DuitTuit, and AnTB

The 42*/90* Caching Crew is made up of caching enthusiasts who live & cache in the geographic area that generally falls within the 42 Latitude & 90 longitude coordinates.

The 42*/90* Caching Crew held a spring get together in the Mines of Spain (MOS) picnic area. The Crew shared a few stories, griped about each other's difficult caches, and passed out the first (hopefully not last) minted metal coin with the group's own logo. Duit Tuit donated one for the group cache and several other members threw in their personalized wooden nickels as well. The cache is a 6" x 6" Tupperware type box containing member coins and the usual trinkets. Many contributed to the cache, but only the hider knows where it ended up!!

There are parking areas throughout the MOS, but the closest is at the Prairie Ridge Trail trailhead at 42*27.223 090*37.879 Follow the marked trail for the first little while and then go into the woods at the end.

***GOT GEOCOINS? Metal coins, wooden nickels, poker chips, bar drink tokens, it doesn't matter. Drop some sort of a coin in this cache. Let's see how many we can fit in the container!!***
