If you are visiting in the summer, you can enjoy a hike on the trail that leads to the river. While standing on the wooden bridge, look for turtles and fish in the creek and the deer in the woods. If you are going in the winter, it’s a wonderful area to x-county ski. There is also a very steep hill for sledding or mountain biking.
This is located in a nature refuge. Permission was requested, and granted by the refuge assistant manager, for this cache to be placed on the refuge. You will not need to disturb anything to find the second cache.
This is a 2 part mulit-cache. The coordinates listed above are for the first stage.
There are different choices of fish where the first cache is hidden. The first cache is a plastic container that is 2x3 inches in size. It is in plain sight with nothing covering it for camouflage. Select your favorite fish that you like from the menu board, then after finding the first cache, head to the fishing hole to catch the next cache.
The coordinates for the second cache are found in the first stage cache. The second cache is in a plastic container and it is camouflaged with tree bark. The container originally contained a log book and pen, McDonald’s coupons to buy a fishy sandwich with, water bottle for the thirsty hiker, plastic Bert backpacker figure, fish hooks for a big catch, Coleman insect repellent band, granola bar, bunny stapler, and packages of birdseed to scatter for the birds at the refuge.
