A regular cache placed in honor of Nancy's May Birthday. Cache is not too far from trailhead, which is at the end of th parking at Foothill lot. Nice views abound. Abundant wildlife.
This cache is in honor of Nancy, a true friend and fellow cacher, camper, hiker, and hobbyist. Nancy has spent her life helping other people. Happy Birthday Nancy, and many more to come. This is a regular size cache, a 24 oz. square plastic camo'd jar, you will find slightly off the trail. You are likely to see a gaggle, or is that a clutch? Well, actually it's called a rafter of wild turkeys and maybe some poults, goats, which are used to clear the nearby hills of underbrush, but most likely deer in this area. This is an ecological preserve, so no bikes, sorry. Don't trample into the underbrush too far. This one is reachable about six feet from the dirt trail. Replace carefully to prevent unintentional discovery and not disturb the flora! There is some P.O. in this general area, but none near the cache location.
Congratulations to Motorgrrl on FTF. We are very saddened that a day after this find, Leigh Ann Hussey, a great cacher and truly unique and inspiring person, a Berkeley native, was killed on her motorcycle. This was her last posted find. We will all miss her greatly!!! Cache on!
