Geocache Description:

Having been interested in old typewriters, I was stoked to walk into the main lobby at 54 Arbor Street and see all of the old typewriters displayed. If you get a chance do check them out.

The cache is close to a number of really interesting things. There is a small park across the street, in addition to the cool lobby display. This is site is the former Underwood typewriter factory. The factory was listed with a Capitol Ave address so I'm assuming the homes in between the old buildings and Capitol Ave was all parking lot.
Underwood Typewriter moved to Hartford in 1901 and was followed six years later by Royal Typewriter (the other of the duo). All were attracted by the plentiful supply of both skilled and unskilled labor.
By 1915, the Underwood factory in Hartford, Connecticut, was the largest of its kind in the world. Go Hartford!!

Do Not go on the other side of the fence!!! It is on the parking lot side and nearly handicachable. Also, the way to the cache is not always open. The gate is locked at night. You may want to do a little research on the area and check to see if the gate will be open.
