The Chumpo Rock Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Chumpo: I decided to go ahead and pull this cache out of play. The container is in need of a bit of repair work, and after four years and 100+ finds, it is time to let someone else make use of this area. Thank you to all of the visitors this cache has had over the years, and a super HUGE thank you to the priests, Brothers and Sisters of Saint Michael's CMRI parish for their hospitality.

Be on the lookout for this container to reappear as a new cache eventually!

Geocache Description:

This cache is filled with signature items that we have found. Not a lot of room for trades, so keep 'em small!
After you find the cache, drive up the hill and visit the Blue Nuns.

A few Saturdays ago, I was getting ready to head out the door to grab a few caches when Mrs. Chumpo called me over to the computer. She showed me an e-mail from a cacher named Seeelk. We had done a couple of his caches the previous weekend, and a couple more long before that. They were all fun hides. If you haven't done them yet, do! And be sure to bring the kids along. They are all family-friendly caches.
So, anyway, back to that e-mail. Mr. Seeelk had crafted us a cache container, and had hidden it just for us to find. Having never met him, this was a huge surprise. We Chumpo's love huge surprises! This expertly crafted container was quickly retrieved, and we recruited an accomplished penguin painter for some finishing touches (thank you SO much Mom!). We did get to meet Seeelk that weekend. What a great guy! Cachers are most definitely a breed apart from the rest.
This is a roadside cache. When you see it, you'll understand why.
Thank you very much, Tom. Congratulations on a well deserved FTF!
And thank you, Mom, for the artwork!

We are honored to announce Wooley Moran's 1000th find that took place at The Chumporock. Wow!

Right click on the cache page and view the background image to see the Singing Nuns. La La!
