One of the most beautiful views around from atop this hill overlooking Chamcook Lake, Passamaquoddy Bay and the St. Croix River.
The cache is fairly easy to find.
Approach from the Frye Road for an easy 10 minute assault on the hill.
Park on the Frye Road. Coordinates:
N45 08.849 W67 04.538
More specifically, drive from route 127 about 1.5 km. On the right hand side of the road, look for a powerpole covered with blue flagging tape. Park here and cross the road to the trail, which is very well marked with the same blue flagging tape.
The trail starts out on a powerline. Walk in the Powerline 15 meters and turn left onto the Old Wood Road. Follow the clearly marked trail again with the blue flagging tape. There is a switchback about 150 yards in the old woodroad so you need to pay attention. Hope you enjoy the hike! The most bang for your buck around.. A short hike; a beautiful view!
