Geocache Description:

Just off the winding main road running alongside the poppied North Norfolk Coast, about two miles from Cromer, lies the small village of Northrepps, untouched by time...

The Felbrigg Furtlers invite you to discover the Legend of The Shrieking Pit for yourself on this two mile circular walk. The footpath is not really suitable for buggies and can be muddy in places. There are some fantastic views of the coast and surrounding countryside from the cache site.

Turn off the coast road at Sidestrand following the signs towards Hungry Hill Nursery. If driving park on the side of the lane at N52 54 117 E001 21 671. Please do not obstruct the path or any field entrances.

Walk back down the lane taking the footpath just before the cottage at the junction. When you've found the cache follow the path on to the Shrieking Pit at N52 54 147 E001 20 991. We would not advise visiting the Pit on February 24th at midnight....

The Hungry Hill Plant Nursery has a refreshment hut and Highland Cattle. It also hires cycles by the day if you fancy exploring this little known area of Norfolk on the network of "Quiet Lanes" and Bridleways.

Turn right from the Nursery and follow the lane back to where you started.

We hope you don't suffer from nightmares....
