Geocache Description:

Park on Quincy Road at pull out at the boulder location. You should have no problem identifying the site.

Maintenance update: Cache container and contents both replaced, October, 2015. Enjoy!!

Cache is located in the Old Town Pound in Rumney, NH. The Old Town Pound is a boulder field with stone walls completing the enclosure. Rock climbing enthusiasts can often be seen scrambling up the boulders. Geology buffs will marvel at the mica, quartz and garnets in the rocks as well as the many caves and passages to explore. There is also an excellent view of the Baker River Valley for those hardy individuals who can manage the climb to the top of the hill and back down. (Very steep!)

The cache is a plastic ammo can and it contains the usual tradable items. This was our first cache to hide.

While hiding this in the Spring, it occured to us that the terrain may be difficult or impassable in snow or ice.
