A favorite among 4x4 enthusiasts, Doran and Odessa canyons are
some of the most challenging trails in the Calico Hills. Both are
rated black diamond as most difficult due to the large bolders,
rock steps and loose terrain in the canyons. From this cache
location, you can see all the way down both canyons in addition to
Calico Ghost Town and further east over to Mule Canyon.
Luckily, you don't have to drive up either Odessa or Doran to
visit this cache. This cache is best approached from the North.
There is a trail about 0.25mi east of Bismarck Mine that heads up
the hill and south toward the cache. The trail is steep in
sections, so 4WD and LOW gears are highly recommended.
