Congratulations to HaleGang on their 1000th !
The HaleGang were the mentors to their family (Petergalembckes) in the Chicago area. The League of Extraordinary Geocachers is spreading the Chicago tradition of placing a cache for their milestone to Rochester.
In an effort to recognize those who pass a major milestone, we have started the tradition of placing milestone caches. Caches are placed for every 1000 found. It's just a small way to congratulate local cachers and their efforts.
It is generally an easy traditional ammo box (silver!) hide for the purpose of recognizing and celebrating this milestone. (gold and bronze are used for the next two milestones) We include a nice certificate with the cache.
HaleGang was notified of this cache before publishing, so they get the FTF. Then it’s opened up for the greater community.
We hope you enjoy our tradition “migrated east”!
