Gould Manor Park has 2 baseball fields, a lake, some woods, 2 playgrounds, park benches - it's a real pretty spot!
I placed the cache at 6:30 PM on a Thursday, and there were probably 200 people having fun in this park! Two little league games were going, the playgrounds were full, and lots of people were just out walking around the lake. One couple and their daughter were sailing a 4' RC model sailboat...
A real slice of Americana on a beautiful afternoon.

Skirt the lake on the dam side then hug the shore, and you'll find the nicest trail. The cache is a small tupperware container, with just a few trade items. I had some bounce in the woods, so I averaged 20 readings and gave a SPECIFIC clue. Stealth required! Lots of kids run through these woods.
There is no poison ivy on the trail described, or near the cache. But I explored the other trails in the woods and went around the lake completely. If you do that, watch carefully for poison ivy. There's lots of it in some spots close to the trail.
