Gilroy's Shout Traditional Cache
La Perouse: Sadly I have been unable to find a suitable alternative to this cache in the immediate area. No point in putting it back where it was cos it will go again, the muggle intensity is so high.

This cache is overlooked on all sides and teeming with people - particularly at midday and after work in the evenings. It took half an hour to hide. Starbrand muggle rating 5/5.
Sat reception was not good, and distorted by tall buildings and their reflections; but hey, your mileage may differ! The coords are the mode of 20 once a minute observations.
Was Kilroy here (“wot, no cache?”) or was it just Gilroy? Sir Norman Cardinal Gilroy, KBE (1896 – 1977) was the first Australian-born Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. Born Norman Thomas Gilroy in Sydney, to working-class parents of Irish descent, he left school when only 13 years old to work as a messenger boy in what was then the Postmaster-General's Department. He joined the Australian Army and served in the Gallipoli campaign of 1915. In 1917, Gilroy entered the priesthood and after serving in Lismore, NSW, Rome and Port Augusta, SA, he succeeded to the Archdiocese of Sydney in 1940. A supporter of the Australian Labor Party, he was the confidant of Catholic Labor Premiers of New South Wales. He is best remembered for his vigorous and ultimately successful advocacy of state funding for Catholic schools. Gilroy was knighted in 1969, the first Catholic Cardinal to receive a knighthood from the British Crown since the Reformation in the 16th century. In 1970 he was named Australian of the Year. Here endeth the ecclesiastical trivia...
The cache is a micro 50 cc “kinchrome” box containing just a log; there is no room for anything else so bring a pen. Please report DNFs.
First To Find may get $50,000 - we’ve shouted you a “scratchie”. Please replace the cache exactly as you found it - and because of the inevitable damp, ensure the log bag is sealed inside its bag.
