This cache is hidden on a public footpath near to the village of Stonely. Details are given here for a 6km circular walk from Kimbolton village, but there is limited parking available at N52 17.467 W0 23.045 for those who wish to start closer or who wish to take a pushchair to the cache site without crossing stiles. It can be muddy following inclement weather.
Size of container 10mm deep x Ø8mm.
Park in the village High Street on the South side of the road as a 30 minute limit operates on the north side (the side with the shops) Monday to Saturday (N52 17.797 W0 23.318).
Start by walking into the school grounds on the Public footpath (N52 17.771 W0 23.299), then turn right and pass between the buildings (N52 17.716 W0 23.390) to the stile at the edge of the field (N52 17.652 W0 23.475) .
Follow the footpath up the rise to Park Farm (N52 17.468 W0 24.144) and pass to the right of the farm buildings until you reach the top of a small wood on your left (N52 17.419 W0 24.373). Turn left here and follow the edge of the wood until you reach the end (N52 17.262 W0 24.416). Turn left again and follow the fence line to a stile onto the B660 at the Cambridgeshire / Bedfordshire border (N52 16.997 W0 24.128).
Turn right and proceed about 100m to pick up a footpath to your left (N52 16.928 W0 24.173). Follow the footpath to the copse of trees (N52 16.719 W0 23.926) then turn left again downhill across a couple of fields towards your goal (close to N52 17.087 W0 23.363).
Having found the cache and logged your visit, proceed on towards the farm at Gimbers End (N52 17.265 W0 22.866). Turn left at the end of the field and skirt the paddocks to the road (N52 17.349 W0 22.847). Turn right along the path and over the footbridge to the second footpath on the left (N52 17.394 W0 22.733). Cross the field to the stile at the edge of the garden (N52 17.460 W0 22.753). Cross the garden keeping to the lefthand side and going behind the panel fence to the stile on the other side of the garden (N52 17.512 W0 22.747).
Leave the garden and follow the edge of the road, crossing the white bridge if you wish to (N52 17.584 W0 22.802) and continue back into Kimbolton village (N52 17.827 W0 23.202). You may wish to take some time to look around the village or visit one of the pubs in the High Street.
