Geocache Description:

The Columbian Exposition was held in Chicago in 1892 in celebration of the 400th anniversary of Columbus discovering the Americas.

Much controversy exists over Columbus' expeditions and whether or not one can "discover" an already-inhabited land. Also, it is known that the Vikings explored the North American coast 500 years before Columbus, but let's not get all factual here. Everyone has to admit that Columbus loved exploring and would have got a big kick out of geocaching, even though he would have had to post a "DNF" for his West Indies search.

This cache is a small black canister (approximately 2" long) with a log only. Please bring a pen or pencil to sign the log. It is located in a quieter section of the Chicago Museum Campus area.
