If people had 12 fingers instead of 10, would our system of arithmetic be different?
In some situations people use base 2 (binary), base 8,
base 16 (hex) and probably others.
But why do we use base ten most of the time?
Is it because we have 10 fingers?
What if we had 12 fingers?
Would our number system be based on 12?
