Geocache Description:

A short walk around the Sheffield General Cemetery, just off the Ecclesall Road.

This is a fascinating spot. You can find out more about the cemetery, its history and the famous people buried here by going to: (visit link)

However, please note that there have been some violent incidents in this area over the last few years. So, I would recommend that you do this cache during daylight.

First of all, go to the cemetery gates at N53 22.154, W1 29.426. You should be able to park in one of the streets near here. Please don't park in front of the gates - it may look like a road but it's actually private property.
A = the number of bollards minus the number of large stones.

Then head to N53 22.155, W1 29.327 and you'll find the tomb of a famous Sheffield shop owner prominently displayed. Even if you're not a local who uses local shops, this name stands out from all the others.
B = the number of letters in his full name divided by 4

Then go to N53 22.126, W1 29.318.
C = the number of columns plus 1.

Head to N53 22.118, W1 29.181 and you should find a noticeboard that quotes from a book about cemeteries by J. C. Loudon.
D = add together each of the digits that make up the year in which the book was published and then deduct 16.

Finally, go to N53 22.148, W1 29.264 and you’ll find the tomb of another famous Sheffield Victorian closely associated with the University of Sheffield.
E = the last digit of the year in which he was born.
F = the third digit of the year in which he died.

The actual cache is hidden at N53 22.ABC, W1 29.DEF
GPS accuracy was about 14 metres when I hid the cache.
