One of my favourite pastimes is hiking and this trailI have done 4 time in the last two years. Its located at a small farm called Rustig in the Magaliseberg and you need to do the Kransroete Hike (which is apparently 7km's), but according to my GPS tracks is only 4.7km's.
Its not a hike for the feint harted, and the start of the hike is a steep uphill, but thereafter its a lovely hike.
If you are lucky you might even get to see Black Eagles and apparently Leopard too..
The cache is placed along the hike route and you don't need to move more than about 8m from the track to find the cache. Its placed in a square plastic container about 6cm x 6cm in a plastic bag and in a black plastic bag.
There is a fee of R50 for the day to do the hike and then there is a lovely bar to have a few drinks after the hike.
