Uvas Creek Stroll Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

angel827: Finally got home before dark to check on this one. The original resting place has been disturbed, it looks like it might be part of a new walking plan path that the city is developing. Parts of the area were spray painted with survey-like notations. I will place a new cache down the path a ways in an area with less trees and no disturbances. This is still a nice quiet place to visit.

My apologies to the cachers that have come by for the past few DNF logs. I didn't get e-mail copies so I thought there was only one DNF.

Geocache Description:

With five nieces and nephews of a relatively young age, I have a quest to place caches that can contain enough trade items to interest the young. Thus, larger caches are required. This one is not huge but can hold enough items to keep the young ones busy. Just keep them on the trail as poison oak lurks off the path, as does the thorned, look-alike blackberry bush.

The terrain rating is based on this being an established (but unofficial, i.e. dirt) footpath along the Uvas Creek. It is not strenuous but the first part of the path from the road can be steep. It is an unpaved path so it may be tricky when it rains, the "dirt" here seems to be rock hard in the summer and clay in the wet season. Overhead trees can influence readings, so take a right on the path before the broken fence. The cache is located where the trees offer an opening and there is an obvious place to take a rest.

The cache is a camo'd toffee tin, please let me know if the camo is wearing off or there is difficulty removing the cache. Any input is welcome.

Enjoy!
