Geocache Description:

A trail through several natural springs and pools in Aminadav hills in the Jerusalem Forest.

Note updated coordinates: N 31 45.432 E 35 08.377

This lovely trail is only 7 miles away from downtown Jerusalem, yet feels miles away.

You can begin the trail at the Kennedy Memorial. Take the road that goes through Moshav Ora and Aminadav.

The 60-foot-high memorial to Pres. John F. Kennedy is designed in the shape of a cut tree trunk, symbolizing a life cut short. The mountaintop memorial is encircled by 51 columns, each bearing the emblem of a state of the Union, plus the District of Columbia.

At the bottom of the Kennedy Memorial is an info center. There you can get a map of the area and find the trail that goes to the springs.

You will need to walk along the green trail foot path that goes to the springs. (Uzi and Tamar)

The Cache is hidden in a tupperware like container only a few meters off the trail. It is hidden somewhere between the two springs.

The original cache (contents are wrapped in a plastic bag inside the plastic container) include:
Toy Plane
Tea bag
Pikachu toy

Log book and pencil

Due to lack of time, we ended up taking a short cut to the springs by driving on the packed road of the red trail. (You can get to the red trail by driving first along the black trail that is near the Kennedy Memorial.) Pass the trail marker that leads to the springs and park the car in the wide area where the red trail turns to the left.

At this area is a trail that leads up to the two springs, Tamar and Uzi. (the regular trail that you pass is actually a very steep climb up. This trail is much easier.)

You can continue out of the forest on the red trail to the Even Sapir Forest Gate. (Of course you can also come this way too.)
