Geocache Description:

Cache is in a small plastic container.  So be prepared to trade.


In the first route, the stage went all the way to Fairview Ave. It started it's way up the Santa Ynez mountain range. First it had to go up a ridge called slippery rock. The chinese had to make grooves for the wheels and grooves for the horses to get traction. They made their way to what is now the Windermere ranch. From there , it went to the summit house to switch horses and pay the toll. The cache is on an access road to the ranch. If you go too far past the cache, you will see the well marked property line and no tresspassing sign.You were able to go onto the ranch with permission but the envirnmentaist
