This beautiful adventure will take an hour each way for a fast hiker. Terrain is most flat with some slightly uphill parts. The hard part is going back up the 502 stairs! This cache is stocked with great stuff - if you take something, please replace it with something worthwhile! We've had over 500 logs in the logbooks since 2006. Please sign in when you get there and, remember, if you're going to take something, only put in good stuff!
This is one of the most beautiful, unexplored and unknown canyons in Los Angeles. This canyon is lush and you won't see a soul here...just deer and rabbits. We've had over 500 logs in the logbooks since 2006! We try to keep quality things in the geocache box - please, if you take something, be sure to replace it with something of quality! Some hints are needed, though. Start at N34.03.678,W118.30.283 and proceed along the fireroad until N34.04.212,W118.30.631. Turn left there and go down the 502 stairs! Stay on the path - no trailblazing needed at any time. You will find a great old barn and an old homestead at the bottom of this unexplored canyon! Have a great time, bring a picnic lunch - it is truly a stunning spot. For those who have found the Swingin' Sullivan cache, the final location of this cache is in a similar spot. If that hint doesn't work, use the scrambled message only if needed! This cache is stocked with great stuff - if you take something, please replace it with something worthwhile!
