Geocache Description:

"According to Mik'Maq legend, Glooscap was a giant god-like man who lived on the high bluffs of Cape Blomidon, overlooking the Bay of Fundy.
As proof of his existence, locals point to a natural rock formation that is said to be Glooscap himself, sitting on the shore, with his back resting up against a cliff. From the beach at Wasson's Bluff near Parrsboro, Glooscap's giant silhouette can still be seen surveying his home."

The cache, located atop the home of Glooscap, will take you to the farthest portion of the Blomidon trail system, The Lookoff Trail.
While on your hike to or from the cache, you will pass numerous observation decks offering breathtaking views of the Minas Basin, Parrsboro and Five Islands Provincial park.
The trail will also take you to a bridge at Indian Springs Brook, the site of a plaque commemorating the land donation to the province.
The entire trail system is well marked with red & yellow flashes but exercise xtreme caution near lookoffs and never venture beyond fences and other barriers.
You can park at the coordinates provided below or you can continue up the road (when open) to the park entrance, which reduces both the distance and difficulty.
