Description:
Nest was originally a stash of small geocaches, intended for
those who wish to place a cache of their own. Each of these
included caches had its own stashnote & logbook, but persistant
muggle activity made this difficult to sustain. The name
remains....
Aotea Lagoon:
Originally a natural tidal lagoon, this area is now a popular
picnic/play area. It was developed in 1980 by the Porirua City
Council, with help from community groups. It boasts a toy train
which runs in the weekends, plenty of open space for kids to play,
a rose garden, and of course – the lagoon itself which hosts tagged
fishing competitions and radio-controlled yacht racing. It’s a
popular jogging track around the lagoon.
