Geocache Description:

An easy cache close to a parking place with spectacular views over the surrounding area.

The cache is located close to the Neil M. Gunn memorial between the Heights of Brae and the Heights of Foddarty above Dingwall. There is parking available close to the cache location.

The cache takes its name in part from the title of a novel (The Silver Darlings) by Neil M. Gunn, and was written whilst the author was living at nearby Brae Farm-house. Take time to walk around the memorial and enjoy the superb views. To the North West, over the glen is Knockfarrel, known locally as “the Cats Back”. To the South over the Black Isle to the distant Cairngorms, and North to the spectacular peaks of the North West Highlands.
