Geocache Description:

With a preserve name of Michael's we had to place a cache here! The short hike will take you through another Joshua's Land Trust property (Map) Medium sized Rubbermaid containter. GREAT fishing spots.

Michael's Preserve and Ysebaert Sanctuary is 5.5 acres of natural area surrounding the meadow next to Gurleyville Gristmill, crossed by the Nipmuck Trail. A nice trust trail has been established that takes you along the Fenton River. From the cache if you continue on about .10 you can cross the river inlet and walk out onto the island. Joshua's Land Trust graciously gave us permission to hide caches on their property. Area closes at Sunset.

Access is near Gurleyville Gristmill on Stone Mill road in Mansfield, CT. There is parking along the gravel road across the bridge near our Gurleyville Gristmill cache. The gristmill itself is open from the end of May to mid October, Sundays 12-4pm, and on Saturdays from 1-5pm during August only.
