Geocache Description:


Higher than Mt Ainslie! Steeper (and higher) than Black Mountain! Faster than the centre of the Earth! Mt Taylor is the dominant Mountain around here! I've lived in its shadow for many years, I've even planted a cache on this mountain a couple of years ago - but that was only half way up! Ever since then - I've been restless; I needed to complete this mountain. I've been up here countless times with the dog, it is one of our favourite walks! The mountain itself is not that spectacular, but the views are worth every step! The cache location is the only place in Canberra from where you can see Tuggeranong, Woden, Civic and Belconnen without taking a single step! In fact, this is the highest mountain amongst the suburbs of Canberra! - Don't let all that make it sound like this is a major challenge - no, in fact, you can climb this hill in less than 1/2 an hour - you don't necessarily even need to bring a drink (although I would, and a snack would go down well as well). - (There is bottled water at the top for your dog!). This must also be one of the most popular mountains for muggles - every time I have climbed up here, there have been muggles about! For this reason the cache is a little off to the side - so therefore with any luck, muggles should be avoidable.
