This is a short distance from a great view of Durham Cathedral near to Newton Hall Estate.
This cache is found near to the path between Durham City centre and Newton Hall. You can approach it from either direction as long as you reach "mushroom bridge".
Once at "mushroom bridge" (NZ 27754 43567)walk a short way uphill to a flat area (NZ 27752 43601) and turn to see the cathedral. Walk along the wooded pathway about 220 feet, passing a pond on the left.
The cache is a small plastic food box containing log book, calculator, plastic floating eyeball, wiggly worm, rubber, pencil sharpener etc.
