Geocache Description:

Ffrith Mountain is in the centre of the Clwydian Hill range with wonderful views of Moel Fammau to the south and Moel Arthur to the North.

There are several possible routes to the cache. For the easiest route, park at the former Hawarden Warterworks Company in Cilcain at N53.10.371 W003.14.416 and walk along the footpath to the south.

Look for the remains of a brick building. During WWII, fires were lit on the slopes of Moel Famau to lure
German bombers away from Liverpool. Theses brick ruins on Ffrith Mountain were the operations' base.
