Maiden Stone Multi-Cache
uncoiled_tiger: Sadly going to let this one go - it's great spot but would like to think up something a little more sustainable.

A simple multi-cache which keeps to a very small area around the Maiden Stone although you are required to walk along the road and scramble through some very easy overgrowth. There is parking at the above coordinates.
*** The Maiden Stone is currently in hibernation and covered with a protective box - The cache is still in place but you won't be able to see the standing stone it's named after until the spring***
The name Maiden Stone is said to some from the story of the daughter of laird Balquhain. Laird of Balquhain's daughter was baking bannocks on her wedding day and bet a stranger that she could finish her task before he had built a road to the top of Bennachie, 'ere she would become his own'. The stranger was the devil and won. She took to her heels and, in answer to her prayers, was turned to stone as he caught her, the notch in the stone being where he grasped her.
The first cache you are looking for is a plastic document wallet. This will lead you to the cache which is an average sized tupperware tub with all the usual gubbins and swaps inside as well as an information sheet. This cache is well camouflaged, please hide it well when you leave. Thank You :)
