The first stage of this cache is at a stonehenge like structure
at the above co-ords. On one of the large stones in the area, you
will find a plaque with the dates of a festival on it.
To find the cache hidden at stage 2, follow the instructions
below to fix the following co-ords:
N43.38.xxx W079.22.y06
To find xxx, add together the three days of the festival (from
the plaque) and multiply it by 10. Subtract this number from
500.
y is the month the festival took place.
This location is quieter than the rest of the harbourfront, but
still busy on the weekend when the weather is nice. You may be able
to get and replace the cache if you are extremely discreet. We were
able to place the cache on a sunny Sunday, but we knew exactly
where we were placing it, and we still had to wait a bit for the
right moment. Use the clue if necessary.
Original contents of cache: a logbook, a geocoin (unactivated,
for the FTF), a marine whistle, a Canadian flag patch, and a small
compass pull. Please bring your own pen to sign the log, none is
provided.
EDIT: Some people have pointed out that the first stage is in
the middle of a construction site. When we placed the cache, there
was equipment in the area (they are planting trees nearby);
however, the area around the cache appears to be in the process of
being re-sodded only. If that situation changes, please let me know
and I will immediately disable the cache until the work is done.
When we were there, we felt completely comfortable in the area.
Again, if our assessment of the area is incorrect or has changed,
we will temporarily disable the cache immediately. We have no
intentions of breaking the rules set forth by geocaching.com.
Thanks.
