We placed this cache, on our way back home from the mega-event,
GeoWoodstock IV, that was held at Cedar Hill State Park (or as
those of us that grew up near there call it... Joe Pool Lake). We
had a great time at the event and met some wonderful people. One of
the groups that stuck in our minds was the GeoTruckers. This group
notes all the geocaches that are 18-wheeler friendly. What a great
idea! We never thought about having to park one of those huge rigs
while caching.... soooo.... we decided that our 75th geocache hide
would be trucker friendly in thier honor.
This cache is located at an I-20 overlook point. PLEASE BE
CAREFUL when going towards this cache. If the conditions are
slippery or muddy, you could possibly take one heck of a nasty
spill. Also note that while we were here placing the cache, we
watched three people get oulled over by the Texas Highway Patrol
down below us. SLOW DOWN IN THIS AREA and please use some stealth
(if possible) to try and keep this cache from getting muggled.
Truckers will probably have to park at the bottom of the hill
RIGHT OFF the exit so SLOW DOWN! Then it will be a short hike up to
the cache. Regular vehicles can get within about 60 feet of the
cache. When you rehide the cache, please make sure that it cannot
become a road hazard.
Oh, by the way, here is yet another hint:
We hope you enjoy our 75th hide!
