The above coordinates are bogus. So don't walk to them. You won't
find a cache there, but you might find a nifty benchmark. I won't
be giving you any coordinates. But you don't need any coordinates
to find this cache. A map might be handy, but you probably don't
even need that.
This past weekend, a geocacher here in Texas told me that I needed
to hide more Big White Arrows. So here's another one. In Ohio.
Hope you have fun.
This geocache is located somewhere in the Dayton area. Actually, it
is located somewhere in the following image. Can you see it?
By clicking below, you'll see a series of four images. I think that
is all you need to find this cache.
First, take a look at this one.
Got your bearings? Where is this? I'll give you a hint. It
is north of Cincinnati and west of Columbus.
Next, check this one out.
Runways always help. Where could that be?
Here's the next one. Now we're getting close.
I wonder what that thing on the left is - it's way too big to be
any kind of parking lot?
And here's the final image.
There it is. I can see it. It is right there between the 128,974th
and 128,975th pixels. :)
Please understand the following...
a. In all of these photos, up is due north.
b. The aerial photos are dated. The ones here were taken in 2000.
Some changes may have taken place in the landscape. For example, a
tree that appears in a photo may no longer be there.
c. The cache is located at the very tip of the arrow. If you are
careful, you should be able to place yourself within ten feet of
the arrow tip. Then, you will be within ten feet of the cache.
The cache is a micro hidden in the way that first comes to your
mind when you get to the tip of the Big White Arrow and see what's
there.
Good luck and have fun.
