This is not your usual Lock
& Lock cache. This cache is padlocked with two locks and
requires that you go to another cache in the local area to
find the key, a combination, and the correct coordinates
before seeking this cache. The cache coordinates listed above
are not the actual coordinates to the cache, however once you
have the coordinates (and the key) the cache is an easy find
and located close to a well maintained trail. This is a large
cache able to accommodate most cache items and large travel
bugs and contains a varied collection of cache
items.
The cache is locked with a keyed
padlock and a combination padlock so you will have to find the key,
the combination, and the proper coordinates before looking for the
cache. Locating and finding the travel bug "Lock & Lock"
will yield the key and instructions for finding the
combination and coordinates. This travel bug can be located in any
cache within a 10 mile radius of zip code 11730.

bug.
Please adhere to this travel bugs
RULES. Be considerate to
the next geocacher and make a note in the caches logbook when you
take "Lock & Lock" out of a cache. If you don't know about
travel bugs then CLICK HERE to find
out how they work.
Please replace the cache carefully
and hide it just as well (if not better) than how you found it. Of
course, don't forget to lock the cache and then place the key in
another cache within 48 hours. REMEMBER: If
you take the Lock & Lock TB and place it in another cache
immediately AFTER doing the cache you will have to WRITE DOWN THE
TB's NUMBER so that you will be able to log it's movements
later!
First To Find Prize: An unactivated
geocoin.
Lock & Lock Travel Bug RULES -
Please follow them.
- DO NOT PLACE THE TRAVEL BUG IN THE
CACHE! This will render the TB and cache useless.
- You need to place this TB in a
cache within a 10 mile radius of zip code 11730. You can find one
by clicking
HERE. This will list the caches that this TB can be placed in
and only these caches are eligible to hold the Lock & Lock
travel bug.
- DO NOT keep this TB for more than
48 hours. This will give more people a chance to find the key, the
combination, and the cache.
- This TB or any information from it
is not allowed to be exchanged from cacher to cacher. This would
defeat the cache hunt and gives an unfair advantage.
- Keep this TB moving! You can place
this TB in a cache where it has already been but don't place it in
the same cache twice in a row. Always place it in a different cache
than where you found it.
- If you wish, you may add a key to
the keyring to make the hunt more interesting!
I wish I could take credit for the
"lockbox cache" idea, but I can't. There are several other caches
already published with this general idea. The one that inspired
this cache is "
