Geocache Description:

The Godard Preserve. 2 entrances, both on Donahue Road. Mud, roots, rocks, ups and downs and stream crossings. Terrain will be rated higher in winter or highwater.

There is a sign post at the trailhead with info and maps. The maps are now in a plastic bag because birds have a active nest on the box where the maps go. The trail system is made up of 2 loops. The blue trail starts in the SW corner and involves 2 stream walks as well as plenty of reasonably flat woodland walking. The yellow loop starts in the NE corner and is the shorter loop with one long stream side walk passing by a large glacial boulder. The yellow loop does involve a longer stretch of uphill and downhill walking. We found the map a little difficult to follow when the blue or yellow markings go in 3 directions, plus join together as a blue/yellow trail. We placed 2 caches in the Preserve to highlight it. At both cache placements we could only get 2D fixes. One of the caches is near the glacial boulder.
