Geocache Description:

Please join the Iowa Geocachers Organization (IGO) for a Geocaching 101 class at Scott Community College in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Come and learn the basics of Geocaching in a relaxed classroom setting. Topics to be covered include: cache containers, GPS receivers, items to always carry while out Geocaching, i.e. “the basics”. After some explanations and Q&A, class will adjourn to the campus where participants will have the opportunity to hunt several temporary geocaches placed for the class.

Experienced geocachers will be on hand to accompany new players on the hunt. Drawings will be held for a variety of unregistered Geocoins at the event. Please come to learn and to have a great time! Coffee and Donuts will be provided.


Date: Saturday, June 24th

Time: Doors Open at 8:30 for coffee and donuts. Class runs from 9:00 till about noon

Cost: $10.00 per team/family (up to 4 people)
