Geocache Description:

At the end of the school year aboard MCAS Iwakuni, three grade school classes joined together to do a overnight camping trip to Yasaka Campground. This geocache was placed to teach the children a little about geocaching and to have some fun in the outdoors.

Each group of children were given the brief history of geocaching from the GC.com website as well as a brief discussion on GPS technology. If you haven't taken a chance to read about geocaching history, you can check it out here:

The cache container is a small tupperware container. The cache's initial contents were a logbook, pen, cache sheet, and most importantly..... 40 Baskin Robbins $2 gift certificates ! (after all, every kid needs an incentive to look hard for something)

Congratulations to all of the kids in the classes from MC Perry Elementary on completing another school year. Thanks to the teachers that make the school years so successful here.
