W89 34.14 in the Menard Island State Resource area. The gate at N45
33.540 W89 32.965 is the beginning of the corporate timberlands,
open for recreational usage.
Cache is a large wooden box containing a large plastic coffee
can.
When we were younger, my brother rode his ATV on these trails. I
had come through here in the early 1990's to fish on the river. At
that time, the water in this beaver pond was held as high as the
truck's window by their dam.
Today we saw a juvenile heron here. Our guess is that this may
be a rookery.
