Geocache Description:

Medium-sized cache placed at old rural cemetery.

This is a really interesting old cemetery which was established in 1890, about the same time as the Oklahoma Land Runs were beginning. If you have some time, you can walk through the cemetery and check out some of the interesting headstones. The sign at the gate notes the cemetery was mapped, cleaned and restored in February of 2001 by Kelsey J. Willams and Boy Scout Troop No. 818. Things look kind of overgrown now, but you can tell people still visit the graves. There are flowers at some of them, and a path has been mowed in places. There is a bit of poison ivy in some of the shady places. It is really a charming site - at least in the daytime!
