Well, all right, so the tree near this small cache isn’t really the Hobbiton Party Tree, but it does appear to seen its share of hot times. The terrain is flat, but you may to do a little bush (or weed) whacking, depending on the time of year.
This cache is the first in a collection of caches to celebrate the birthday of a most excellent, but not so furry footed, friend of the Shire and fellow geocacher, namely MountainHobbit.
You may come across a birthday card for MountainHobbit in this or one of the other "Happy Birthday MountainHobbit" (HBM) caches. If you do, please feel free to add a birthday wish to the card and take it to another one of the HBM caches. And of course, in keeping with hobbit tradition for birthdays, we will expect MountainHobbit to leave us all sorts of fine presents in these caches.
The cache is a sandwich-sized plastic container, so it can only hold a few items. The original contents of HBM #1, include: some party snappers, two small party bags, and a ribbon.
