Located in the Midland Reservoir along the Rotary Trail which is part of the Trans-Canada Trail.
This cache is in the same reservoir as a previous cache of ours, The Living and the Dead. Parking is suggested at N44 45.312 W079 55.326 at the end of Murray St. You can also get to the other two caches in the Reservoir (GCTF3C and GCTF4C) from this spot.
This parking spot starts you off at the top of a section of the Old Penetanguishene Road that is the old military road that used to run from Barrie to the establishments at Discovery Harbour as a supply line. The military road is not the tract that goes straight down the hill. Rather it is the path that cuts across about 2/3 of the way down the hill and curls its way to the top. It was built that way to allow heavy loads to be more easily moved to the top.
There is some light bushwhacking at the end and the container can only hold smaller items.
