In the town I grew up in, there is a giant culvert with a tiny stream running though it. It’s so long that in the middle, if you’re brave enough to actually go in there, it’s pitch black with only a fist-sized circle of light on either end. Maybe it was bigger, but then, I was smaller then. Either way, it was a great place to take friends and scare ourselves silly.
It was such fun walking through that cold dark tunnel with the water rushing over our feet and not being able to see what we were stepping in, feeling the ridges of the culvert, covered in slime.
At home, there might be fresh chocolate chip cookies. I’ve always loved making those, eating the dough, eating them minutes after they came out of the oven, or frozen. Now, I make them once a week or so.
Sometimes, thoughts collide and turn into a cache. That’s what happened here – I’m walking along the road, wishing I had some chocolate that could pass my lips without settling on my hips and I see the culvert and think, “Oh, lookie!” Next thing I know, a cache called Chocolate Lip Lookies is born.
So as you’re looking for the cache, perhaps splashing in the stream, think about chocolate lip lookies – the culvert is way too small to go inside, but you can still enjoy chocolate chip cookies… RisingSon got some free cookies from Arlington Corner Produce for being FTF. Will he share with InMotion? Congratulations to both of you for grabbing this cache so late in the day!
When school is in session, it may be too tricky to be stealthy for this cache so limit yourselves to looking on evenings, weekends and holidays.
