The above Co-ordinates are not the exact location of the
cache and are for reference only, however they will get you to
the road-way track entrance of the Car park. You must
first complete the Sudoku Puzzle below to obtain the correct
co-ordinates that will lead you to the actual cache.
Access to this cache is best approached from Enfield, enter the
track on the western side of the Canal & RR line, the RR Line
and Canal should be always to your left. This track will lead you
to a car park and picnic area.
Enfield is located in Co Meath somewhere. I suppose you can get to
it by using the N4 from Dublin via "Kilcock town" heading
westward, or from the West via "Kinnagad" heading east on the
same road (N4). There is also a Train Service to the town from
Dublin's Connolly Train Station. If you're a good swimmer you might
like to use the Royal Canal, however I would recommend a Barge if
you intend using the Canal.
Now then, if by-chance you find yourself on the M4 Motorway, which
by-the-way is Tolled, currently Euro 2.50 a pop, you can request a
"Receipt / Pass" from the Tollbooth operator or by
pressing the "Receipt Button" on the self service booth. The
"Receipt / Pass" enables you to leave the Motorway at
Enfield for a couple of hours and then re-enter the Motorway
and continue your journey, it works in either direction.
Enfield:
So a little
bit about Enfield or
Innfield. What can I say about
Enfield that has not already been said?
Hmmmm, not a lot. I'm trying to think was there anything ever said
about Enfield apart from it being one of the biggest pains in
the arse of motorists trying to transverse the country for years
until it was bypassed. They even bypassed the bypassed?
Anyway I got the following from the good people at
goireland.com
"The history of Enfield is closely connected to the history of
transport throughout south Meath. In the 1790's, maps denote the
site as "A New Inn", later "The New Inn" and eventually, Innfield.
This derives from a mail-coach inn on the 18th century Dublin to
Mullingar coach route. The Royal Canal passed through Innfield
also, and with the arrival of the Great Western Railway the name
became anglicised to Enfield." and that's it? Unless you know
better?
Wrong! Oh there's always one, ok if you just landed from somewhere
