Hotel or prison? Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not repaired it I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Many thanks,
DalesmanX

Geocache Description:

A multi cache that may need maths skills!!

There is plenty of free parking in the town centre but it is disc parking, two hours free. Discs are available from a lot of the shops, the tourist information centre and the police station.
The co-ordinates given will send you to the oldest building in Northallerton. Answer the questions to give you the coordinates to another location close by then answer another couple of questions. Once you have all the answers fill in the gaps to find the micro cache, you will need a pen to sign the log and some paper to do the working out!!!
On arriving at the location you will need to look for some dates:
the second number of the year the building was erected = A
the last number of the year the building was erected = B
the last number of the year in which Charles 1 was a guest - the third number of the year in which he was a prisoner = C
The second number of the year in which he was a prisoner = D
The third number of the year in which the building was erected = E
Using these answers go to
N 5B 20 A2C
W 001 2D 1AE
then look for the year in which L CPL HYDE BJM died.
The first number of this year = F and the second number of this year = G
Then go to
N AB F0 A1D
W GG1 FD FCG
where you will find the cache!!!
