Geocache Description:

A simple quick drive up Micro. This cache placement and others placed today for Louisiana Delorme Challenge are dedicated to the "rebuilding and rebirth" of Plaquemines Parish.

The location of this hide is exactly where the center of Hurricane Katrina First hit land on August 29th, 2005. The lives all those who lived here in the town of Empire were utterly destroyed, but their spirit was not broken. Rebirth and rebuilding are already under way, but much time and hard work will be required.
