Geocache Description:

This has a 2.5 rating because stealth is required. The facility is still used. Mornings might be better for caching.

The Delhi Municipal Baseball Park was built in 1948 for the purpose of securing the town's team, The Delhi Oilers. Amateur baseball competition was fierce among the small towns in America and acquiring a permanent baseball facility with wooden bleachers and lighting for night games was an event of considerable magnitude in the life of the town. As far as anyone can determine, this is the only survivor of a baseball park with covered wooden grandstands from this era.
