Geocache Description:

This is a 3 part multi located along the West Shore Railroad in Byron at Trestle Park. The terrain is easy with an incline and bushwacking required at the final. The cache container is a cammo. folgers coffee can.

This is another in a series of mine along the West Shore Railroad which came through Genesee County in 1884 and helped to keep many of these little towns and hamlets alive in the following years. Progress saw the decline of the rail system and in 1964 the tracks were removed but the old cinder beds remained and today provide for an enjoyable walk.

I gave this cache the name Fowl Territory because at the time of placing this cache there were many geese and ducks around with hatchlings. * BEWARE* Watch where you step because geese tend to leave behind some "foul" stuff on the ground!

This Park closes it's gates at 10 p.m. so please do not attempt this one at night. The Park entrance remains open until October 31st but caching can occur afterwards but a significant hike maybe involved.
