Welcome to another stretch of the North Country Trail!
This section of the trail crosses through an abandoned Forest Service Campground before crossing the Pine River. Tour the campground, it is often used by hunters in the fall, hikers year round, as evidenced by the fire pits. Check out the trail map, on your way in, it is at

W 084 52.526 on Forest Road # 3137... you might like to try a larger section of the trail!
Forest Road # 3137 intersects with Forest Road # 3139 which runs north/south between M-28 and H-40, we recommend a 4X4, The trusty mini van might make it but we would hate to find you stuck in the sand! This is a 3 season road, a designated snowmobile trail in the winter.
