Geocache Description:

This is a relatively old cache. It was placed in 2006 by mountaingoats and named after her first niece “Cora”, who would be 5 years old now. We have a 3-year-old girl in our household – her name is “Cadance” - and I thank heaven for little girls too! This cache is dedicated to all those little girls out there!

How many of you remember the 1958 musical “Gigi” and the song “Thank Heaven for Little Girls” sung by Marice Chevalier? I do not remember a lot about the musical but I will never forget that song – as sung by him with his French accent! You might also want to visit - Gigi - (This is a short clip from Gigi).

Thank heaven for little girls, for little girls get bigger every day!

Thank heaven for little girls they grow up in the most delightful way!

Those little eyes so helpless and appealing, one day will flash and send you crashin' thru the ceilin'

Thank heaven for little girls thank heaven for them all,

no matter where no matter who for without them, what would little boys do?

Thank heaven... thank heaven... Thank heaven for little girls!

Now that I have moved to Missoula from Hamilton I have been bagging caches left and right! I got around to doing this one recently and noting that the owner was looking for someone to adopt it – and finding it an above average cache – I contacted mountaingoats and arranged to adopt it. Mountaingoats has moved closer to Cora now! Thank you mountaingoats for setting it up.

Mountaingoats described this as a “slightly offset” cache – which will work. It is also sort of a puzzle cache. The original cords were for a bus stop bench, but that has been moved a block north. The only thing of note now at GZ is a 25MPH sign. If you want to ride the bus to this cache – it is Route #5 – and the bus stop is now at Linden St.

Since you can not see the cache container from the new bus stop I am leaving the old cords as they are. Just picture yourself sitting on the bench at the old bus stop! We are not giving the cords for the actual cache – you need to figure out how it is hidden and where it is – that is the puzzle! It is visible from GZ.

It would be interesting to note that now that mountaingoats is closer to Cora maybe she will not have to mail so much back and forth. She mailed presents to Cora and they mailed pictures and presents back. When she was living here she had to depend on the mail a lot - back and forth.

Just one more thing - if you have any little girls (or little boys) with you, watch them – especially if crossing the road!

Winter note: Unless there is a large amount of snow this cache would be just as easy to do in the winter.
