Geocache Description:

Pleasanton Cemetery, Town of Pleasanton is northeast of the Town of Jourdanton, both south of San Antonio. Look in the Roberts Family Plot.

Each year on the Saturday before Father's Day, our family goes to visit one of our Family resting places. Here rests my Father, Uncles, Grand-Fathers, and Great-Grand Father; Great-Great-Great-Grand Father to the youngest here. Also here are their wives, our mothers. We clean the place up a little, share family stories, and acquaint the younger or newer family members with some of our fore-fathers.

On past visits we have found true buried treasure, in the form of sunken plot markers. On the day we placed the cache, we dug up a sunken marker we found last year 6 inches below the surface. We will re-set that marker in the near future.

South Texas can be hot and dry, and the sandy soil of the area can make it dusty. But a little water under the cool shade of the big oak always makes the day perfect.
